home sweet home! yes, back at last. and if there are some things im craving for, they would be chicken rice, hokkien mee, and definitely the nice warm weather. :D the past thirteen days spent touring eastern europe were awesome, leaving us wanting only more. im certain we'll return some day, and when that happens i swear i'm so gonna get an LV bag then. muahaha! perhaps some of the places we enjoyed included visiting the cathedrals, old town squares, and the prominent sites of wwii, such as the nazi concentration camps and other fortresses from both the allied and axis powers. so rich were they in history, politics and architecture that so often being at these locations invoked much emotions which allowed us to pretty well embrace the beauty and darken days of eastern europe.
the cathedrals and basilicas throughout were truely heaven on earth. from st vitus in vienna to st stephen in hungary, each were indescribable and without a doubt, breathtaking in their own ways. so much, that many of us including the non-catholics in our tour group were caught in awe and moved to spend some time in quietness and prayer while absorbing in the spendor of God's house. as we moved from parish to parish and cathedral to cathedral, it is here that i am able to witness and feel so strongly the universality of the church, where throughout the world, it is the one same mass, priesthood and sacraments which we share and celebrate as one family. to me, its simply what being Catholic is all about.
well, so much to share, too little time. i'll probably take some time to sort out the photos and share them online. stay tuned! in the meantime, its back to work and somehow, i feel a little more rejuvenated and energetic to perform after a pleasant break. hope it lasts!
